Skiing in Catalonia

In Catalonia, there is indeed plenty of snow, but there is also a Mediterranean climate that turns the experience into a delight. Because enjoying the mountains and their adventures with our skis is a true pleasure, but if you can guarantee good weather, it's a perfect plan!

The community is home to 16 ski resorts where you can enjoy the snow basking in the sun!

In Catalonia, there are about 700 kilometers of ski slopes waiting for you to try them. Specifically, Catalonia offers 16 ski resorts, 10 alpine skiing and 6 cross-country skiing, with all kinds of activities, accommodations, restaurants, and leisure opportunities. It is an ideal destination for beginners, seeking a safe place for the first contact, as well as for the more advanced, who are on the hunt for an adrenaline-filled challenge.

Moreover, on the ski slopes in Catalonia, you can enjoy with your family without having to worry about the children. Most of them have a snow garden, a kind of playground where children begin to get in touch with the world of snow sports.

Each one is different, so we encourage you to choose the one that best suits your tastes. Here we have made a selection:

• Baqueira Beret. It is the largest in Spain. With more than 120 kilometers of slopes and surrounded by peaks of about 3,000 meters, Baqueira never disappoints. It is located in the Valle de Arán, so its climate ensures snow 365 days a year. Modalities: cross-country skiing and alpine skiing.
• La Molina. It is the birthplace of many skiers. La Molina was the pioneer ski resort in Spain. Located in the Cerdanya, this destination has more than 50 slopes for all levels, making it a favorite for athletes and enthusiasts from around the world. Modalities: Alpine skiing.
• La Marsella. C'est le berceau de nombreux skieurs. La Molina a été la première station de ski en Espagne. Situé dans la Cerdanya, cette destination compte plus de 50 pistes pour tous les niveaux, en faisant un favori pour les athlètes et les passionnés du monde entier. Modalités : ski alpin.
• Boí Taüll. Its location is out of this world. Surrounded by Romanesque churches, with the highest peaks of the Catalan Pyrenees, and unbeatable views, the ski lifts of Boi Taüll offer an unparalleled experience. Ideal for resting while enjoying the white mantle. Modalities: Alpine skiing.
• Aransa. The black pine will accompany you on your adventure in Aransa. It is a perfect station in Cerdanya for cross-country skiers. Modalities: Nordic skiing.
