What does this ranking tell us?

PiNCAMP Most Wanted is not a selection of campsites made by a jury, but a ranking based on the interest shown by German users on the PiNCAMP.de portal.

Its figures therefore provide an interesting snapshot of the destinations attracting the most interest from one of Europe’s major camping and caravanning markets.

And Catalonia plays a leading role.

Having 19 campsites among Spain’s Top 25 demonstrates the strength and diversity of Catalonia’s camping sector, from the Costa Brava to the Terres de l’Ebre.

The most sought-after campsites are also on CampingsCat.com

One fact that makes us particularly proud is that most of the Catalan campsites featured in this ranking are also listed on CampingsCat.com.

This allows us to draw a conclusion that goes beyond the ranking itself: digital visibility is becoming increasingly important when choosing a destination and a campsite.

Before booking, travellers search, compare options, read reviews and discover new places online. That is why being present on the digital channels where potential visitors look for inspiration and information is an essential part of any campsite’s marketing strategy.

The German market is particularly interesting. The PiNCAMP ranking shows which campsites have attracted the most interest from German users and highlights the potential of Catalonia’s camping sector to reach an international audience.

At CampingsCat.com, we work to promote the sector and help travellers discover campsites across Catalonia, explore its destinations and find things to do during their stay.

Catalonia remains a leading destination

The PiNCAMP Most Wanted 2026 ranking delivers a clear message: 19 Catalan campsites feature among the 25 most sought-after campsites in Spain among German campers.

Great news for the sector and further proof of the strength of Catalonia’s camping industry.
